SEPTON series products
SEPTON™ is a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer developed by Kuraray. It is a block copolymer that consists of styrene-based hard-blocks and a diene soft block. Hydrogenated grades of HYBRAR™ 7000 series (Vinyl-rich SEPS or SEEPS) have excellent heat and weather resistance. HYBRAR™ shows an excellent miscibility with polypropylene resulting in exceptional transparency and clarity when blended. Flexible film manufactured using HYBRAR is more environmentally friendly alternative to PVC due to the absence of harmful plasticizers. These films also have a much lower environmental impact during production and disposal than PVC. Additionally, the hydrogenated (7000 series) material is resistant to weathering and yellowing and has great miscibility with polypropylene. It can be used in films, sheets, extruded parts (pipes, cables), injection molded parts and other products. |
KURARITY series products
KURARITY™ is a new line of acrylic block copolymers made with Kuraray’s anionic living polymerization technology. Various (meth)acrylates are combined in this technology to form AB or ABA type block copolymers. Kuraray has created three KURARITY™ series: the LA, LK and LH.

KURARAY LIQUID RUBBER has a “reactive plasticizer” function and significantly higher molecular weight than usual plasticizers, which can reduce Mooney viscosity during the rubber mixing process, allowing the mixer to “stir” the compounds more efficiently and extending the life of mixing equipment.
